Being Van Gogh Trailer

“BEING VAN GOGH” shows the most productive period of artist’s life, when he moved to the South of France, in Arles. This time period was full of hopes, ideas and artistic inventions. Van Gogh was dreaming of creating the Southern Studio, where he could live and create shoulder to shoulder to his fellow-artists, to shape the art of the future. His most recognizable works were made during that time – The Sunflowers, Café Terrace At Night, The Bedroom, Starry Night Over Rhone and many others. Van Gogh’s unique style was formed back then. It is fair to say that this period was a culmination of artist life and work.

The story highlights many important aspects of Van Gogh’s life and work – his relationships with brother and family, his ambitions and disappointments, his poverty and devotion to work, his artistic search and doubts, memories and presentiments. It seems like the artist speaks to the audience himself, because the script is based on van Gogh’s letters. There is no fiction, just a free hearted and intimate talk of the artist himself. This approach enables visitors to understand the life and art of the great master in the best way.

The touching life story performed by the actor accompanies the immersive show: Van Gogh’s outstanding art works are projected on huge wall and ceiling screens and completely surround visitors. Beautiful music accompanies stunning visuals.
